Ron coordinates grassroots activities in support of CHA’s public policy priorities, including fundraising for CHPAC; works to develop strong relationships with key legislators; coordinates district legislative visits; responds to alerts; and supports CHA’s Health Policy Leadership Day and Congressional Visit Program, as well as leads and supports local political advocacy at the city and county level in support of the sections.

Michael Huff, PhD.
Director, African American Health Disparity Program

Dr. Michael Huff is the Director of the African American Health Disparities Project (AAHDP)—a project of the Hospital Council of Northern & Central California—serving the African American community in San Francisco. For more than 20 years, he has worked as an educator and practitioner. Dr. Huff has been trained as an academic researcher in sociology and earned a doctoral degree in sociology from Northwestern University.

Dr. Huff’s mission as a director is to serve as a bridge between the African American community and the hospitals.
