UC Davis takes over state cancer registry

The UC Davis Health System will partner with the California Department of Public Health to run the day-to-day operations of the California Cancer Registry, university officials announced Friday.

Legislation signed last year by Gov. Jerry Brown required the state to seek competitive bids for cancer registry operations. UC Davis won the bid.
